ParaBOLT Privacy Policy

ParaBOLT is a breathing training application designed to provide guided breathing exercises, breath-hold training, and BOLT score tracking.

This Privacy Policy explains how ParaBOLT handles information when you use the application.

ParaBOLT does not collect or share user data with the developer or developer-operated services. Information generated through use of the app is primarily stored locally on your device, as described below.

Information stored on your device

ParaBOLT stores certain information locally on your device so that the app can provide its features and remember your preferences. This may include:

• BOLT scores and BOLT score history;
• breathing and breath-hold training information;
• saved training programs and their settings;
• aggregate training statistics, such as Total Hold Practice;
• app settings and preferences; and
• onboarding and instruction completion status.

This information is used to provide ParaBOLT's functionality and personalise your experience within the app.

ParaBOLT does not operate a developer-controlled server or cloud database for this information, and this locally stored training information is not transmitted by ParaBOLT to the developer.

Android backup

ParaBOLT allows Android's standard backup functionality.

Depending on your device and Google account backup settings, eligible locally stored ParaBOLT data may be included in an Android device backup and stored or processed by Google as part of Google's backup and restore services.

Android backup can be managed through your device's backup settings.

Subscriptions and Google Play

ParaBOLT uses Google Play Billing to offer and manage subscriptions.

Subscription purchases and related transactions are processed by Google Play. Google may process information associated with these transactions, including your Google account, payment information, purchase information, subscription status, pricing, and offer eligibility.

ParaBOLT does not receive or store your payment card or other payment method details.

The app may receive information from Google Play necessary to determine available subscription products and offers and whether you have an active subscription. ParaBOLT stores a limited local entitlement record indicating whether access is active and, where applicable, when that status was verified.

Payment and Google Play account information is handled by Google in accordance with Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.

Services and data access ParaBOLT does not use

ParaBOLT does not currently use:

• advertising or advertising identifiers;
• analytics or behavioural tracking;
• location information;
• contacts;
• camera or microphone access;
• authentication or ParaBOLT user accounts;
• push notifications;
• health platform integrations such as Health Connect; or
• developer-operated cloud storage for your BOLT scores or training history.

Permissions and device features

ParaBOLT uses limited Android permissions and device capabilities necessary to provide its functionality.

Internet connectivity may be used for Google Play services and subscription functionality. The app also uses device vibration for haptic feedback and may use functionality that helps keep a training session active while it is running.

ParaBOLT does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, files, or media for its normal functionality.

Data sharing

ParaBOLT does not sell your personal information.

ParaBOLT does not share your locally stored BOLT scores, training history, saved programs, or training statistics with advertisers, analytics providers, or a ParaBOLT-operated server.

Google may process information when providing Google Play Billing, Android backup, and other Google Play or Android platform services. Google's processing of that information is governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms.

Data security

ParaBOLT is designed to minimise collection of personal information. Training information and app preferences are primarily maintained locally on your device using Android application storage.

Information processed by Google Play or Android services is subject to Google's security practices.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data retention and deletion

Locally stored ParaBOLT information remains on your device until it is deleted through the app where deletion functionality is provided, the application's data is cleared through Android's app-storage controls, or the application is removed, subject to Android backup and restore behaviour.

Information contained in an Android backup may be retained according to your Google account and Android backup settings and Google's applicable retention practices.

Subscription and transaction information processed by Google Play is retained according to Google's policies.

ParaBOLT does not maintain user accounts or a developer-controlled database containing your BOLT scores or training history, so there is no separate ParaBOLT cloud account or cloud training record to delete.

Children's privacy

ParaBOLT is intended for adults and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The application does not provide social networking, messaging, advertising, or account-creation functionality.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if ParaBOLT's functionality, data practices, or legal requirements change.

When the policy is updated, the effective date shown at the top of this page will also be updated.
